Mercy Ambassadors
Health Career Scholarships – Mercy Auxiliary awards three $500 scholarships annually to second year NIACC nursing students and two $250 scholarships to second year radiologic technology students.
Infant Safety Seat Rental – Mercy Auxiliary assures all babies leave our health care center in the safety of an infant safety seat. New parents may rent an infant safety seat for $20 and will receive a $10 rebate when seat is returned in good condition and by return date stated in the rental agreement.
Safety Seat Fit Stations – Mercy Auxiliary co-sponsors a FREE monthly safety seat inspection service where trained technicians assess seat installation, correct the installation if needed, and check the seat brand for recall information. Replacement seats are available for purchase at cost if technicians deem a seat to be unsafe.
The Safety Seat Fit Station is held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on the third Saturday of every month at Schukei Chevrolet, 721 S Monroe in Mason City, Iowa. No appointment needed. Mercy Auxiliary, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, Mason City Police Department, Schukei Chevrolet and U.S. Cellular sponsor the safety seat inspection program.
