Mercy Sleep Lab

Woman unable to sleepTreatment Options

Most sleep-wake disorders can be treated or managed effectively after a condition has been fully and accurately diagnosed. Mercy Sleep Lab primarily serves as a diagnostic center, which makes recommendations for treatment to your physician. The lab works together with your physician to ensure proper follow-up and medical care.

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is offered as one treatment option for sleep apnea. Initiation of this intervention involves an overnight stay in Mercy Sleep Lab. CPAP consists of a nasal mask worn during sleep each night and a monitor which gently pushes air though the mask. The air keeps the breathing passage open to facilitate normal breathing. Equipment may be rented or purchased for home use at Mercy Home Therapy Shoppe.
