Our Role In Patient Care
Patient needs are assessed and care is provided through an interdisciplinary team. Patient care provided includes:
- activities of daily living
- medication administration
- nutrition and therapeutic regimens
- pain management
- preparation for diagnostic testing
- management of emergency situations
- restorative care
- support for developmental enhancement
- assistance to staff in other areas of hospital as needed for pediatric patient care
- referral / consult as appropriate
- assistance to parents and child to maintain academic standing
- spiritual / emotional support
