National Kidney Foundation
The NKF's site provides information on organ donation, renal and transplant, public policy and professional educational programs. The NKF is the major voluntary health agency seeking to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. Message boards allow transplant recipients and donor families to communicate with peers and friends.

RenalWEB
Is the reported most visited dialysis-related Web site and is the daily newspaper for the dialysis and nephrology community.

American Dietetic Association Renal Dietitian’s Practice Group
Here you will find weekly tips, featured articles, renal cookbooks, Kidney Kwiz, etc.

American Diabetes Association
When you sign in, this site will ask you some questions about what topics interest you. The web site will then be designed to give you just those topics. Topics include education, nutrition and recipes, research, volunteer information, etc.

American Association of Kidney Patients
The Association's purpose is to promote the welfare of the kidney patients through education and advocacy. This site provides education and updated information on legislation, new treatments and medications. RENALLIFE and numerous patient brochures serve as major educational tools at the national level.

National Kidney and Urologic Diseases Information Clearinghouse
This site serves as the central resource and referral network among lay, voluntary and professional organizations concerned with kidney and urologic diseases. It provides: publications and a computerized database of educational materials; responses to requests for information from health professionals, patients and the public; annotated bibliographies and topical literature searches on selected topics.

American Kidney Fund
The AKF is the leading national voluntary health organization providing direct financial assistance for the benefit of kidney patients supported by comprehensive educational programs, clinical research and community service projects. Site features include a newsroom, description of programs, kidney disease facts , a shopping mall, a lifestyle section and items for professionals.

ESRD Networks
The ESRD Networks monitor quality of care indicators and maintains timely, complete data on the Medicare ESRD program. Site features include links to all 18 regional Network Web sites, annual report summaries and a listing of US dialysis units.

Food and Drug Administration
Provides news about recent FDA approvals for marketing or testing of drugs and medical devices. A search engine allows the user to find information on drugs and devices to treat such conditions as renal failure.

Kidney Advocate
What you need to know when a family member has chronic or end stage renal disease

Kidney School
This site is an interactive, web-based learning program in 20 minute modules. It was designed to help people learn what they need to know to understand kidney disease and its treatment, adjust to kidney disease, make good medical choices and live as fully as possible.

LifeOptions Rehabilitation Program
This program is dedicated to helping people live long and live well with kidney disease. It is actively engaged in research, partnering with other organizations, offering technical support, and developing high-quality, research-based educational materials.

NIDDK
The site provides many education materials on kidney, urologic, diabetic and digestive disorders. It offers also recipes and scientific studies. Includes links to other U.S. Government sites.

RENALNET
A clearinghouse site that provides links to valuable information for both the professional and consumer.

Dialysis Finder
Site helps determine location and maps of dialysis sites in an area you specify.

Nephron Information Center
Provides a list of all Medicare-certified dialysis providers.

Social Security Administration
Provides information on Medicare benefits.

Transplant Recipients Internet.Org
Provides information on donor awareness and advocacy for transplantation.

United Network for Organ Sharing
Provides information and phamphlets about organ donation, and transplants; transplant waiting lists; and statistical information.

The Whole World of Nephrology

Site provides information about kidney disease, dialysis and transplants.

Medicare Coverage of Kidney Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Services
Provides government sponsored publications.

Roll Call
This site can provide the names of senators and/or representatives to allow you to advocate, at the national level, for issues relating to chronic renal disease.
