Mercy Dialysis Center
Welcome to the Mercy Dialysis Center at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City. The Mercy Dialysis Center offers hemodialysis and acute dialysis care. Because dialysis is a life-changing event, the dialysis center staff wants to provide you with a variety of information about dialysis ranging from what it is to our specific program of care. Please consult with your physician before using any of the information provided here as each person’s condition is unique.
The Mercy Dialysis Center offers outpatient dialysis services at three sites in North Iowa. These are located at
- Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa, West Campus, 910 N. Eisenhower Avenue, Mason City. (Enter the building through the south door on the east side of the building); Monday through Saturday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 641.422.7961, after hours 641.422.7000 and request that the dialysis nurse on call be paged.
- The Charles City satellite is located at 707 Gilbert Street; 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 641.228.3567
- The Algona satellite is at Kossuth Regional Health Center, 1515 S. Phillips, Algona; 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 515.295.2802
Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa provides acute dialysis for hospitalized patients on the East Campus at 1000 4th Street S.W. in Mason City.
Our Staff
The highly skilled staff of the Mercy Dialysis Center will assist you in making the dialysis experience a pleasant one. The staff includes a certified nephrologist, family nurse practitioner, registered nurses, a registered dietitian, licensed social worker, certified hemodialysis technicians, and patient care technicians. In addition to the dialysis, they provide pre-dialysis care, teaching on nutrition, social services and insurance, and follow-up care.
