Critical Care

Located in the east wing of the 6th floor, Critical Care provides continuous monitoring and nursing care. Care is provided by registered nurses with education in ACLS, trauma, and critical care who specialize in critical care utilizing technically sophisticated monitoring equipment.

  • Visiting hours are arranged with the nurse caring for the patient for each shift.
  • Visitors are requested to sign in and out with the volunteer in the CCU waiting room.
  • Visitors are asked to check with the nurse caring for the patient they wish to visit. If the patient is sleeping or a procedure is being performed for any patient in the unit, visiting may not be allowed.
  • A maximum of two visitors is allowed in a patient room at one time.
  • Children under 12 may not be left unattended in the waiting areas and do require special permission to visit critically ill patients.
  • A responsible adult should take children who are crying, loud, or running in the area to the first floor lobby.
