OncoLink - The University of Pennsylvania web site is loaded with information about all cancers which is appropriate for both lay persons and health care professionals.

PDQ - Developed by the National Cancer Institute, this site provides access to the PDQ (Physician Directed Query) - the Institute’s most up-to-date source of cancer information.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network - Provides specific state of the art recommendations for treating women with breast cancer. Includes decision trees for the different stages of breast cancer.

The American Academy of Family Practice - The American Academy of Family Practice provides educational materials about a wide variety of health issues. For example look up breast problems and follow the self-care flowchart to help you determine if you should see a physician for further evaluation.

Breast Cancer Decision Guide - Web site for breast cancer developed by the Department of Defense. Can enter personal information to determine risk for breast cancer or read information on standard treatments, complementary therapies or symptom management.

National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations - The National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations' website is helpful in locating clinical trials for which patients might be eligible and provides general information on breast cancer. It also links you to websites of other breast cancer-related sites.

Mercy Cancer Center The Mercy Cancer Center in Mason City provides information on the local services provided for cancer patients as well as links to other cancer-related sites.

American Cancer Society - The American Cancer Society link can help you learn about the Reach to Recovery visitation program offered for women and their families. The ACS has a wide variety of services available for all cancer patients.

National Breast Cancer Coalition - The National Breast Cancer Coalition is a grassroots advocacy effort in the fight against breast cancer. In 1991, the Coalition was formed with one mission, to eradicate breast cancer through action and advocacy.

BreastCancerinfo.com - The Susan G. Komen Foundation sponsors events such as Race for the Cure with benefits going toward breast cancer research and education. It’s volunteers work to educate the public and raise funds for research, local screening, and treatment projects.

Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization - This web site provides information, support, and referrals with breast cancer survivors providing many of the services.

National Lymphedema Network  - This internationally recognized non-profit organization was founded in 1988 by Saskia R.J. Thiadens, R.N. to provide education and guidance to lymphedema patients, health care professionals and the general public by disseminating information on the prevention and management of primary and secondary lymphedema.

Consortium for Breast Centers, Inc. - Search for breast health facilities around the country, consultants to breast centers, and companies that offer breast health products and equipment to breast centers and patients.
