John Deere Healthplan Has a New Name
"United Healthcare of the River Valley"

Web site Transitions to UnitedHealthcare

We recently redesigned our Web site changing the John Deere Health name to UnitedHealthcare. While the information and usability of the site remains the same, many other elements of the site have also changed, including:

  • Web site address - Our new Web site address is www.uhcrivervalley.com. The old address, www.JohnDeereHealth.com, will continue to work through the end of the year. But we encourage you to update any bookmarks to properly access the site.

  • Plan names - John Deere Health plans, such as "JDH Premier" or "JDH Select," are now called "Heritage Premier" or "Heritage Select."

  • Government Programs - Our government programs, such as TennCare, hawk-i, and Secure Plus, are co-branded with UnitedHealthcare sister companies. For example, Secure Plus is now a part of Secure Horizons, and TennCare and hawk-i are now named "AmeriChoice TennCare" and "AmeriChoice hawk-i."

  • Appearance - The site now sports a new look, consistent with the UnitedHealthcare corporate Web site, www.UnitedHealthcare.com.

  • Terminology - You may recognize new terms or phrases on the site. For example, the "Provider Directory" link is now found under "Find a Physician" and "Contact Us" (Sales) is found under "Get a Quote."

  • Corporate Entity Names -
    • John Deere Health Care, Inc. has been renamed UnitedHealthcare Services Company of the River Valley;
    • John Deere Health Plan, Inc. is now UnitedHealthcare Plan of the River Valley, Inc.;
    • John Deere Health Insurance, Inc. is now UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company of the River Valley.

    You may still see the John Deere Health name in various areas of the site because some documents may retain that name for historical or archival purposes. We will continue to enhance www.uhcrivervalley.com as time goes on to ensure we integrate the best features UnitedHealthcare has to offer.

Our contract with John Deere is in effect until 12/31/07. We are in the process of renegotiating a contract in conjunction with United Healthcare.
