Mission and Goals

To provide an education in the field of Radiologic Sciences by working together and with others in the spirit of the Gospel, to heal body, mind and spirit, to improve the health of our communities and to steward the resources entrusted to us.

GOAL 1: Students will demonstrate entry-level skills of radiographic clinical competence.

Student Learning Outcomes:

    1. Students will position for routine examinations
    2. Students will adjust technical factor selection for varying situations.
    3. Students will practice appropriate radiation protection.

GOAL 2: Students will demonstrate critical-thinking skills.

Student Learning Outcomes:

    1. Students will evaluate images for corrective actions.
    2. Students will perform non-routine examinations.

GOAL 3: Students will communicate effectively in the healthcare setting.

Student Learning Outcomes:

    1. Students will demonstrate effective written communication.
    2. Students will demonstrate effective oral communication.

GOAL 4: Students will demonstrate professionalism.

Student Learning Outcomes:

    1. Students will demonstrate professional behaviors in the clinical setting that result in appropriate level of “customer service”. 
    2. Students will recognize the impact of different organizations to a technologist’s continued professional growth.
