The clinic will assess you for risks that can lead to kidney damage. Some of these risks include high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, medications and others. The clinic will provide education in an unbiased manner.
It is typical that an initial visit last approximately two hours. Lab work such as a blood draw and urine test may be done during the visit. The frequency of your visits will be individualized based on your needs.
Medicare and Medicaid will cover your visits. We have financial counselors available to help check with other insurance companies and/or financial aid.
The clinic, Mercy Center for Diabetes, Kidney and Weight Management, is located on Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa’s West Campus, 910 North Eisenhower Avenue, Mason City.
