IOWA FALLS Mercy Cancer Center along with Ellsworth Municipal Hospital (EMH) have teamed up to provide quality care close to home for residents of Hardin County and Southern Franklin County.
Arvind Vemula, M.D., a board certified physician, specializes in medical oncology (the treatment of cancer) and hematology (treatment of cancers and abnormalities of the blood). He now provides care in Iowa Falls on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. He offers:
- Consultations;
- Inpatient rounding;
- Post treatment follow-up appointments; and
- Minor procedures such as bone marrow biopsies.
Other procedures and chemotherapy services are planned for the future. Dr. Vemula also will work with the lab and imaging department at EMH to keep patient care local as much as possible.
The EMH Specialty Clinic is located in the EMH Professional Building at 520 Talbott Street in Iowa Falls, adjacent to the hospital. Dr. Vemula’s appointments at the EMH Specialty Clinic will be handled through EMH Central Scheduling at 641-648-7044.
It is Mercy – North Iowa’s mission to provide quality care close to your home by providing the same high level of service you have come to trust in Mason City.
