Mason City Clinic/Mercy Heart Center provides electrophysiology services at Mason City Clinic.
Electrophysiology, or an EP study, is the detection and treatment of potentially life-threatening or abnormal heart rhythms. An EP study is performed on people who have persistent symptoms of heart conditions and cannot be detected by other means.
Placement of implantible devices (i.e. pacemakers or defibrillators) and ablations are considered cardiac interventions for treatment with patients that have irregular heart rhythms.
The Mason City Clinic/Mercy Heart Center cardiologists are board certified in electrophysiology and will provide consultations and electrophysiology services at the Mason City Clinic.
