Community Based Primary Care Clerkship
The Mercy Family Medicine Residency is a site for the four-week Community Based
Primary Care Clerkship, a requirement for 3rd year medical students at the
University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. (This Clerkship is open only
to University of Iowa students.) Please contact the University for details
about this required course.
Family Medicine Elective
The Mercy Family Medicine Residency offers electives to fourth year medical
students from LCME or AOA accredited medical schools. Interested students
may contact the residency.
Since the typical family physician sees the majority of patients in an outpatient setting, our clerkship program is focused on patient care in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. Housing may be available with advance notification. For more information contact:
