At Mercy Rehab Services we are dedicated to helping cancer survivors function at the highest level possible. Cancer treatment often causes significant pain, fatigue and disability for survivors. Through our STAR Program (Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation), our goal is to minimize these side effects and to encourage cancer survivors to have the best quality of life possible. The STAR Program provides patients with coordinated cancer rehabilitation supported by a team of certified STAR Clinicians and Providers.
As a STAR Program patient, you will receive comprehensive cancer rehabilitation treatment to improve the symptoms affecting your daily functioning and quality of life. These may include fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, joint stiffness, limb swelling (lymphedema), weakness, memory problems, balance, and issues with talking or swallowing.
Our cancer rehabilitation program is offered by a group of trained professionals who successfully completed the STAR Program
Certification Course. Our team consists of physicians, nurses, physicaltherapists, occupational therapists,speech-language pathologists.
Each team member provides expertise, guidance, training and support throughout your rehabilitation treatment.
