These are located within five minutes or less walking distance of both the Family Medicine Center and the hospital.

Residents receive 21 days of annual leave.
Residents receive education funds which may be used to purchase educational materials or attend an educational conference. First year residents receive $300. Second year residents receive $600 and three days leave, if they attend a conference. Third years residents receive $600 and five days leave, if they attend a conference.
In addition, the program pays for residents to attend ACLS, BCLS, PALS, Newborn Resuscitation, ALSO, and ATLS.
Residents are provided malpractice insurance covering all resident rotations. Pre-tax deductions are required for medical and dental coverage. Disability and basic life insurance are provided without cost.
While performing resident duties at the hospital or clinic, all meals from the cafeteria are provided at no cost to the resident.
Residents are given priority for hospital-owned housing.
Iowa Medical license, DEA, and State Pharmacy fees are provided by the residency program for all resident years.
Annual dues paid for American Academy of Family Physicians, Iowa Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Iowa Medical Society and Cerro Gordo County Medical Society.
Health Club Membership
Local health club membership is provided for the resident and family.
Moonlighting is available at the second and third year levels with the consent of the Residency Program Director.
Applicants are provided with one night's lodging. .
A one-time sign-on/transition allowance of $1,400 is provided.
