About Terry Wedmore
“Our family really enjoys organizing this event,” said Masha Wedmore. “It’s a way for friends and family to remember Terry and honor him while raising funds for the fight against cancer.” Proceeds from the event will support Mercy Cancer Center services, cancer research and education. Terry died from complications of cancer on August 3, 2003.
Terry was a former Mercy – North Iowa associate, served as mayor of Rockwell for eight years and served on the Rockwell City Council for four years. He was co-founder of the Rockwell-Swaledale EMT’s with his father-in-law, Vincent Adams. M.D. Terry served on numerous city, county, and state committees including: E-911 Advisory Board, Rockwell-Swaledale School Booster and Music Booster Committees, EMS Advisory Board, and State Disaster Committee. He was president of Mercy City Family Credit Union and a member of the American Legion Gallagher Post and Rockwell Economic Development Committee.
