$53,000
Annual Leave
The fellow receives 21 days of family leave.
Education Leave
Attendance at the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine annual meeting
Insurance
Fellows are provided malpractice insurance covering all fellowship rotations. Pre-tax deductions are required for medical and dental coverage. Disability and basic life insurance are provided without cost.
Meals
While performing palliative medicine fellow duties at the hospital all meals from the cafeteria are provided at no cost to the fellow.
Housing
Fellows have opportunity to live in hospital-owned housing close to the hospital.
Licensure
Iowa Medical license, DEA, and State Pharmacy fees are provided for the one-year fellowship.
Professional Memberships
Annual dues paid for American Academy of Family Physicians, Iowa Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Iowa Medical Society and Cerro Gordo County Medical Society.
Moonlighting
Moonlighting is available with the consent of the fellowship Program Director.
Interview Expense
Applicants are provided with one night's lodging
Moving Expense
A one-time relocation allowance of $1,000 is provided
